Grace Vargas

Grace Vargas currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Religion at Texas Christian University since January 2021. In addition, Grace holds the position of Co-Book Review Editor and Webmaster for the Hispanic Theological Initiative, where responsibilities include social media management, copy editing, web project management, and academic journal publishing. Grace completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies at Southern Methodist University, focusing on the history of Christianities in Latin America, with a particular research interest in US Protestant missions to Cuba through postcolonial and world Christianity perspectives. Previous experience includes roles at PR Newswire and LatCom Communications, Inc., as well as internships at PSE&G and Picture-it Awards, Inc. Educational qualifications include an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and a B.A. from Rutgers University.
