Sheri Rothenberg

Sheri Rothenberg is an experienced communications and stakeholder engagement professional currently serving as the Director for the Office of Governance at the Texas Education Agency since February 2024. Previously, Sheri held various roles at Chicago Public Schools from 2014 to February 2024, including Content Strategy Lead, Director of Internal Communications and Operations, and Change Manager in Information & Technology Services. Sheri was integral in implementing the district's first digital universal curriculum and managing communications during significant initiatives and crises. Prior roles include Account Supervisor at Hager Sharp, where Sheri managed communications for the National Center for Education Statistics, and teaching positions in special and elementary education at Fairfax County Public Schools. Sheri holds a Master’s degree in Organization Development and Knowledge Management from George Mason University, a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland, and an Executive Scholar Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
