Rhiana Whitson

Rhiana Whitson is an experienced journalist currently serving as the National Business Reporter at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) since April 2012, where coverage spans TV, radio, digital, and social media platforms. Whitson has previously reported for ABC’s flagship current affairs program, 7.30, and has been recognized as Journalist of the Year for insights into Tasmania’s health system. Starting her career at ABC as a regional journalist in Victoria’s Gippsland region, Whitson also worked at Fairfax Media for a year and contributed as a freelance music journalist for Inpress Magazine. Rhiana holds a Post Graduate Certificate of Journalism from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.
