Torraine W.

Torraine W. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies. They started their career as an Application Developer at OAO Corporation in 1998, where they worked until 2002. They then joined Lockheed Martin as an Application Developer and provided technical support to the grants management branch. Their responsibilities included designing client and server-based applications to support staff needs. Torraine also worked as a Website Designer for their own company, Torraine.com, from 2007 to 2012.

In 2006, Torraine became a Lead Software Engineer at the American Kennel Club (AKC). They were responsible for researching, designing, and developing web applications to increase website traffic and revenue. Torraine also served as the Lead Software Engineer at the AKC again from 2015 to 2017. During this time, they led development projects and provided technical direction and oversight for converting outdated applications to more modern technology stacks.

In 2015, Torraine joined Research Square Company as a Senior Software Engineer. They worked closely with the marketing team to design and update the user interface on multiple sites and assisted in improving search engine optimization (SEO).

Finally, Torraine returned to the American Kennel Club in 2017, this time as the Director of Dev Ops. In this role, they provided technical direction and guidance for all software development at AKC, developed and drove the technology roadmap, and established relationships with internal customers and external vendors.

Torraine W.'s education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Duke University and a Master of Science (MS) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Torraine also attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
