Rico Lau

National Director, Fundraising Chair

Rico Lau currently serves as the National Director and Fundraising Chair for The American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative, leading efforts to raise lung cancer screening awareness in the Southside of Chicago. Additionally, involvement as a Referrals Coordinator and Childcare Volunteer at Maria Shelter Free Clinic includes outreach for residents and support for children. Previous experience includes roles as a Dining Ambassador at the University of Chicago, Project Co-Leader in the Immortalized Cardiomyocyte project at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and Campus Awareness Co-Director for United Against Inequities in Disease. Rico Lau also contributed to youth education through Med-ucate and provided medical outreach support as a Medical Assistant at Weill Cornell Medicine. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Health and Society from the University of Chicago.
