Kimberly Lau

EVP, Strategy and Operations at The Atlantic

Kimberly Lau is the EVP of Strategy and Operations at The Atlantic. Prior to their current position, Kimberly served as the EVP of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development at The Atlantic, where they were responsible for developing revenue-generating partnerships, fundraising efforts, and new business ventures. Some of their key projects include The Experiment with WNYC and working with CAA to turn Atlantic stories into TV and film productions. Kimberly is also an adjunct professor at NYU Center for Publishing and a board member of Dering Hall. Kimberly previously served as the Vice President of Business Development at Hearst Magazines and worked on a marketing and strategy project at Dell, Inc.

Kimberly Lau earned a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA in General Management from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

They work with Jonah Burlingame - SVP, Head of Strategy, Research, and Analytics - Atlantic 57, Kas Mayanga - VP, Information Security, and Jeffrey Goldberg - Editor in Chief. Kimberly Lau reports to Nicholas Thompson, CEO. Nancy Deville - Project Manager, Katherine Hu - Assistant, Newsroom Operations, and Lindsey Emanuel - VP, Business Operations report to Kimberly Lau.
