Strategic Partnerships Manager at The Freedom Fund

Reimi Pieters has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. Beginning in 2016, they interned at both BrightStart Learning Cambodia and The Austen Everett Foundation, where they conducted research, forged partnerships, and organized special experiences for cancer patients. In 2017, they served as an Interim Executive Assistant to the Mayor at the City of Lynnwood and participated in the Office of Gender Violence Prevention and Education Leadership Training Institute at Bowdoin College.

In 2018, Reimi had two separate internships at the U.S. Department of State. In these roles, they analyzed and compiled data, participated in grant proposal reviews, and assisted in planning a major event. They also worked as a McKeen Fellow for Voting Engagement and a Spanish Tutor at Bowdoin College during this time.

From 2019 to 2020, Reimi worked as a Program Assistant at Arabella Advisors, where they likely provided support on various programs. They then worked at the U.S. Department of State as an International Program Assistant, where they managed grantee performance, reviewed and assessed proposals, and engaged in program coordination and consultation.

In 2021, they joined Plan International as a Graduate Consultant, and in 2022, they became a Strategic Partnerships Manager at The Freedom Fund. They also briefly worked as a Research and Evaluation Consultant at The Freedom Fund during this same year.

Throughout their work experience, Reimi demonstrated their abilities in research, partnership building, program coordination, data analysis, and event planning.

Reimi Pieters completed their Master's degree in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Government and Legal Studies, Sociology from Bowdoin College, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. In 2017 and 2018, they also attended Universidad de Sevilla, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Sociology. Reimi Pieters completed their high school education at Edmonds Woodway High School from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
