Chris Himebauch

Chris Himebauch is the Chief Human Resources Officer at The Fresh Market. Chris has over twenty years of experience in Human Resources, and has been in their current position since October 2016. Prior to working at The Fresh Market, Himebauch was the Chief Human Resources Officer at Stein Mart from October 2016 to November 2018. Chris was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources function for the $1.2 billion retailer with 290+ locations and 11,000+ employees throughout the United States. Before Stein Mart, Himebauch was the Chief Human Resources Officer at APR Energy from December 2011 to August 2016. Chris was responsible for Worldwide Human Resources support to 22 Power Plants and 3 International Distribution Hubs in 17 Countries for the US-based company. Chris was also a member of the Executive Management team reporting directly to the CEO and President, and was responsible for all people strategies for this international start-up company traded on the London Exchange. Prior to APR Energy, Himebauch was the Senior Director of Field Human Resources at Winn Dixie Stores from September 2007 to December 2011. Chris was also the Regional Vice President of Human Resources at Wyndham Worldwide from December 2005 to June 2007. Chris's first HR position was as the Director of Employee Relations at Darden Restaurants from May 1995 to December 2005. Chris Himebauch has a long history of experience in Human Resources, and they are currently using their skills to help The Fresh Market run smoothly.

Chris Himebauch has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business.

Chris Himebauch reports to Jason Potter, CEO. They are on a team with Dan Portnoy - Chief Merchandising Officer, James Heaney - Chief Financial Officer, and Carlos Clark - SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
