Samir Fahoum

Samir Fahoum currently serves as the Head of Investigations in the Office of the Inspector General at The Global Fund since July 2023. Previously, Fahoum held the position of Principal Integrity Officer for Investigations at the Inter-American Development Bank from December 2012 to June 2023, where responsibilities included leading and managing the investigative unit, overseeing complaint intake and investigations, and ensuring the quality of the investigative process. Fahoum also contributed as an Advisory Committee Member for UNRWA from January 2016 to January 2022, and worked as a Senior Investigator in the Integrity Vice Presidency at The World Bank from April 2008 to December 2012. Additionally, Fahoum served as an Investigations Advisor on secondment to the Islamic Development Bank for a short period in 2011, focusing on integrity and investigations policies. Earlier experience includes serving as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations from January 2001 to February 2008. Fahoum holds a Master's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the University of Cincinnati.
