Simone Costa

Simone Costa serves as the Sr. Associate Director of Strategy and Innovation at The Good Food Institute since March 2022, following a role as Associate Director in the same department. Previous experience includes positions at Healthcare Consultancy Group from 2020 to 2022, where responsibilities included developing scientific content and driving client meetings while maintaining budget and timelines for major accounts. Simone also worked as a Technical Manager and Research Scientist at Curie Co., where strategic objectives for a clean protein start-up were advanced through research and development. From 2013 to 2019, Simone held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at Duke University, contributing significantly to innovative research projects in collaboration with various prestigious institutions and securing funding through fellowships. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and a BS in Biology with a minor in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
