Brion Johnson is the current Chief Investment Officer & President Investment Management at The Hartford. Brion has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to their current position, they were the Executive Vice President and Head of Portfolio Management at PPM America from March 2001 to July 2008. There, they successfully led a team of 30 investment professionals and developed a successful investment management and risk management process that achieved great results. From October 2011 to May 2012, they were the CFO and Head of Strategy, Planning & Development at Hartford Investment Management where they successfully led the company through a dramatic period of change.

Brion Johnson has a MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Finance and Accounting. Brion also has a diploma from St. Ignatius College Prep and an AB from the University of Michigan in Economics. Brion is also certified from the CFA Institute as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
