Mauricio Meza

Mauricio Meza is a seasoned professional in business development and assistive technology, currently serving as a Business Development Associate in Medical Devices at The Hospital for Sick Children since November 2025. As the Co-founder and CEO of Komodo OpenLab Inc. since November 2010, Mauricio successfully launched products reaching over 900 customers across 22 countries and established the company as a certified B Corporation focused on inclusive technologies for individuals with disabilities. Previous roles include Business Development Specialist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and Licensing and Commercialization Professional at Commercialization at UHN. With a rich background as an Assistive Technology Consultant at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Mauricio has extensive experience in project evaluation, partnership building, grant application preparation, and conducting educational sessions on accessibility. Mauricio holds an MBA in Management of Technology and Innovation from Ryerson University and a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México.
