Andrew O'Sullivan

Andrew O'Sullivan serves as the Chief Information Officer at The Irish Times since March 2025. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Information Officer and Executive Director at An Garda Síochána from November 2019 to March 2025, overseeing Data and Technology for Ireland's National Police and Security Service. Andrew also held the position of Chief Information Officer and Assistant Director General at the Central Statistics Office from 2016 to November 2019. Previous roles encompass Director of Engineering at Citi, where responsibilities included co-CIO for Citibank Europe plc and head of the Treasury and Trade Solutions Technology Dublin site. Additionally, Andrew has worked at Microsoft as Head of Services and as CTO at Brandvis. A significant tenure at IONA Technologies included various leadership roles leading up to Vice President Worldwide Services. Earlier experience includes project management at ICL/Fujitsu. Andrew holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin and post-graduate degrees in Management for Engineers and Scientists and Statistics from Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin, respectively.
