Joel Taubman

Joel Taubman currently serves as the Director of Student Programs and Staff Attorney at The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, where responsibilities include recruiting, supervising, and supporting law student fellows and clerks, while advocating for the civil and human rights of the Jewish community. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Attorney General and Legal Fellow in the Office of Civil Rights at the Virginia Office of the Attorney General, as well as positions in legal education and practice, including Associate Member of the International Law in Domestic Courts Journal and Student Attorney in the Civil and Human Rights Law Clinic at The George Washington University Law School. Joel Taubman holds a Doctor of Law degree with a concentration in International and Comparative Law from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia. Additionally, experience includes earlier roles in project management and engineering, as well as internships in the legal and congressional fields.
