Karen Paikin Barall

Karen Paikin Barall currently serves as the Chief Policy Officer at The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, appointed in July 2025. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of Government Relations at The Jewish Federations of North America from October 2022 to July 2025, and as a Commissioner on the Governor's Commission on Middle Eastern American Affairs from July 2016 to January 2023. Previous roles also include Director of Government Relations at Hadassah, CEO and Founding Partner of Barall & Company, Mid-Atlantic Director at the Orthodox Union, Maryland Director of Government and Community Relations at the Jewish Community Relations Council Greater Washington, Deputy Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism at the U.S. Department of State, Special Advisor to the Governor for Intergovernmental Affairs in New York, and National Director of Project Development at the Jewish National Fund. Karen holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Political Science and Communication from Touro University and attended Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 1992 to 1993.
