Rachel Mintz

Rachel Mintz serves as the Managing News Editor at The Michigan Daily, where responsibilities include co-managing a team of approximately 100 reporters, overseeing news coverage, and conducting weekly news meetings. Previous roles at The Michigan Daily include Assistant Newsletter Editor, Senior News Editor, and various reporting positions, demonstrating a strong background in news writing and editing. Rachel also writes for the Michiganensian Yearbook and has gained valuable experience through internships at The Smilist Management, Sugerman Communications Group, Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, and Global Ties U.S. In addition, Rachel has contributed to academic projects at the University of Michigan and has a background in lifeguarding through a position with the City of Tampa. Currently pursuing a degree in Communications and Media, alongside Environmental Science, at the University of Michigan, with anticipated graduation in December 2024.
