Christopher McGuire

Christopher McGuire serves as the Director of the Ocean Program in Massachusetts for The Nature Conservancy since June 2011, where responsibilities include leading a team focused on living shorelines, coastal restoration, restorative aquaculture, and fisheries management. Prior to this role, Christopher was the Nautical Science Faculty Captain at the Sea Education Association from 1997 to June 2011, overseeing semester programs and research cruises aboard an ocean-going sail training ship. Additionally, experience as a Marine Technician at Raytheon from 2001 to 2005 involved providing scientific support for Antarctic marine research. Christopher holds a Master of Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Connecticut College.
