Michael Misiko is an accomplished Agricultural Director for Africa at The Nature Conservancy since August 2020, focusing on the implementation of Regenerative Food Systems in partnership with various stakeholders. Prior experience includes serving as an Innovation Scientist at CIMMYT, where agricultural innovation research was a primary focus from October 2012 to August 2020. Additionally, Michael Misiko held the position of Head of the Cultural Heritage Department at the National Museums of Kenya for a brief period in 2012, overseeing development research and staff management. Earlier roles include being a Scientist at the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security and a Social Scientist at the Africa Rice Center, contributing to climate mitigation and social science research, respectively. Michael Misiko earned a Ph.D. in Agricultural Anthropology from Wageningen University & Research and a Master's degree in Anthropology from the University of Nairobi.
