Gemma Piper has over 25 years of extensive legal experience, currently serving as General Counsel and Company Secretary at The NRMA since May 2010, leading a team in governance and compliance amidst organizational transformation. Prior roles include Deputy General Counsel and Senior Corporate Lawyer, where responsibilities encompassed a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial legal matters, including transactions, governance, and litigation. Gemma's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Associate at Allens Linklaters, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and joint ventures, as well as a Lawyer at Hogan Lovells, where work included managing cross-border transactions and secondments to Barclays' corporate legal department. Educational qualifications include a Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and post-graduate diplomas in law from the College of Law in London. Gemma holds a degree in German, Economics, and Russian from the University of Surrey.
