Katie Heinrich

Senior Researcher at The Phoenix

Katie Heinrich is a Senior Researcher at The Phoenix since January 2023 and has been a Professor at Kansas State University since August 2010. At Kansas State University, Katie serves as the Director of the Functional Intensity Training Laboratory, focusing on applied exercise behavior and obesity research, and has held roles as Interim Department Head of Kinesiology and Associate Professor in Exercise Behavioral Science. Prior academic positions include Assistant Professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the Office of Public Health Studies and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Katie holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Health/Medical Psychology, an MA in Educational Research and Psychology: Sport and Exercise Psychology, and a BA in Psychology and Sports Science, all from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Graceland University.
