Pumehana C. is an experienced education and program specialist with a strong background in social work and interdisciplinary studies. Currently serving as an Education Specialist for the Heʻeia NERR ʻĀina-Based Teacher PD Program at the Research Corporation of the University of Hawai'i since June 2022, Pumehana has previously held several fellowships at the Sundance Institute, focusing on Indigenous and Two-Spirit initiatives, and participated in the Groundwork Regional Lab: Hawaiʻi with Firelight Media & Firelight Films. Pumehana's program management expertise was highlighted during a tenure at Paepae O Heʻeia, along with independent contracting roles at Project Koa Yoga and Women Unite!.
