Amal Nawarathna

Amal Nawarathna has extensive experience in adult social care and market management, currently serving as Corporate Head of Service at the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames since March 2022. Prior to this role, Amal worked at Barnet Council for nearly nine years, holding various positions including Service Manager for Market Management and Care Quality Adviser, among others, with a focus on community equipment, care technology, and integrated care quality services. Beginning career in care management at Roland Residential Care Homes Limited, Amal advanced to Registered Care Home Manager while undertaking additional roles within the organization. Amal's educational background includes a MA in Youth Justice and Community Safety from Middlesex University, a BSc with First Class honors in Networking and Computer Systems, and certifications in strategic leadership and project management.
