David Storrie

David Storrie currently serves as the Head of Local Taxation Policy at The Scottish Government, focusing on Council Tax, fiscal empowerment for local government, and related levies. Prior experience includes roles as Strategic Adviser in the First Minister’s Policy Unit and Private Secretary to the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Economy, as well as to the Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Veterans. David also led the Scottish National Standardised Assessment project and held various positions at Ofsted, including Specialist Adviser for Initial Teacher Education and Her Majesty's Inspector, where responsibilities included leading inspections and training school inspectors. Earlier in his career, David was a Senior Inspector at Tribal Group and served as a Council Member for the General Teaching Council for England.
