Robbie Cooke

Robbie commence in his role as The Star Entertainment Group’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on 17 October 2022.

Robbie has led 3 ASX listed companies in a business career spanning more than 30 years. He has traversed scale-ups, listings and significant M&A actions in technology enabled businesses delivering significant shareholder value. He is currently CEO and Managing Director of Tyro Payments Limited, an Australian bank and payments fintech.

He had an 11-year executive career in lotteries, race wagering and sports betting at Tatts Group Limited and a predecessor company, UNiTAB Limited, including 5 years as CEO and Managing Director. He also ran Australia’s leading online travel company Wotif.com Limited for 7 years, taking the business through scaleup from start-up mode, achieving a circa fivefold increase in profits and a successful IPO in 2006.

Robbie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce both from the University of Queensland along with a Graduate Diploma in Company Secretarial Practice from the Governance Institute of Australia. Robbie is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an associate of the Governance Institute of Australia and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland commence in his role.
