Harper Wood

Harper Wood is currently a Graduate Student at the University of Chicago, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Ecology & Evolution since September 2025. Prior to this role, Harper held various positions including Discovery Scientist and Laboratory Technician at Arcadia Science from February 2023 to August 2025. Harper also gained experience as an Archaeologist at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens in the summer of 2022, focusing on fundamental archaeological techniques. Additional experience includes writing roles at UX Content Collective and CommunityConnect Labs, and serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at Oakley Evolution Lab, contributing to research on marine ostracods. Harper holds a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry-Molecular Biology from UC Santa Barbara, earned in 2021.
