Hamed Khiabani

Hamed Khiabani is a seasoned professional in the field of cybersecurity, currently serving as the Director of Global SecOps & Threat Detection at Experian since November 2013, with a progressive career that includes roles as Sr. Manager, Security Operations Manager, and Principal Security Analyst at the same company. Hamed also holds the position of Adjunct Senior Fellow at The University of Queensland since July 2023 and has been recognized as a GIAC Gold Advisor since August 2011, reflecting a strong presence in the security community. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Fellow at MIMOS Berhad from January 2009 to August 2012 and co-founding Gilas Computer, where Hamed worked as the Technical Manager from September 1994 to May 2008. Hamed's extensive academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Information Security) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, along with degrees in Computer Engineering from Industrial Management Institute and IUST.
