Hinne Hettema

Hinne Hettema is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Security Operations Manager at Pushpay since October 2024. In parallel, Hinne has been an Adjunct Senior Fellow at The University of Queensland since January 2020, focusing on research in cybersecurity and delivering masterclasses. As the Principal Consultant at tacticpurple since June 2022, Hinne assists CISOs in developing security services and strategies, leveraging expertise in security data science. Previous roles include Cybersecurity Operations Consultant at Mainfreight and Principal Consultant at LinearStack, enhancing security postures for various clients. Hinne has extensive experience from the Ports of Auckland, where responsibilities included acting as CISO and leading cybersecurity operations. In addition, Hinne has held significant academic positions, including Honorary Research Fellow at The University of Auckland and lecturing in cybersecurity at Unitec Institute of Technology. Hinne holds multiple advanced degrees in philosophy and theoretical chemistry from the University of Groningen and Radboud University.
