Rachel Waldrop

Rachel Waldrop serves as the Director and Curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga since January 2020. With previous roles including Curator and Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Telfair Museums, Waldrop focused on developing the museum's modern and contemporary art program through innovative exhibitions and collection management. Additional experience includes managing communications and programming at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, academic roles at various institutions, and financial oversight positions at Deitch Projects and Andrew Kreps Gallery. Waldrop holds a Master of Fine Art in Sculpture from The City College of New York and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from The University of Georgia.
