Joe Dortch

Joe Dortch has extensive experience in archaeology and heritage management, currently serving as the Director at Dortch Cuthbert since January 2000, with a focus on embedding cultural heritage in projects across Western Australia. Since July 2014, Joe has also held the position of Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia, collaborating on various research projects. Previous roles at the university included Research Fellow and Associate Professor, where management of significant research projects and student supervision were key responsibilities. Joe's background includes advising Rio Tinto on heritage matters and conducting impactful research on Aboriginal heritage and ecological interactions. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Archaeology from The University of Western Australia and a BA Hons in Archaeology from the University of Southampton.
