SVP, Walt Disney Studios Labor Relations at The Walt Disney Company

Robert Johnson is the SVP of Walt Disney Studios Labor Relations at The Walt Disney Company. Robert has held this position since May of 2013. Prior to their current role, Johnson worked as a privacy attorney for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from January 2008 to May 2013. In this role, they were a key stakeholder in building the Agency's cyber-security compliance framework from the ground up. Robert also represented the Agency in complex data breach litigation and provided legal advice to ensure Agency compliance with information privacy and data security laws. Before their work with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Johnson worked as an associate for McGuireWoods from June 2006 to December 2007 and for DLA Piper from September 2002 to May 2006.

Robert Johnson attended Georgetown University Law Center, where they earned their LL.M. in International and APAC Laws. Robert also completed a Summer Study Abroad program at the University of International Business and Economics in International Law and Legal Studies. For their Graduate Studies, they attended Johns Hopkins AAP in Global Security Studies. Robert earned their Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and their Bachelor of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University in Social and Behavioral Sciences.
