John D. Porter

John D. Porter is the SVP & CFO at Williams. John has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry.

Porter began their career in 1998 as a Supervisor of Revenue Accounting for The Williams Companies, Inc. John held this position for three years before being promoted to Director of Investor Relations. John served in this role for seven years before being promoted to their current position in 2005.

Porter’s experience extends beyond Williams. From September 2001 to February 2005, they worked for Forest Oil Corporation in various roles. In March 2005, they returned to The Williams Companies, Inc. where they worked until December 2012.

Porter’s broad experience in the energy industry makes him a valuable asset to Williams. John is a trusted advisor and has played a key role in the company’s success.

John D. Porter received their Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.
