Henry Williams Joins The Org as Growth Analyst

The Org has brought Henry Williams on board as a Growth Analyst. He will be based in New York City and report directly to VP of Growth Dylan Enright.

As Growth Analyst at The Org, Henry’s responsibilities will include various marketing and growth related initiatives. He will grow The Org by defining and articulating its online voice, presence, and value-proposition to attract and retain high-impact evangelist users. Henry will foster a community of people fanatical about organizational design as well as build a library of resources to help business leaders build better teams. All of these efforts will dramatically accelerate learning for our community and word-of-mouth growth of The Org.

"Joining The Org is exciting for me because it enables me to work on ambitious and fundamental problems in how organizations create, manage, sustain, and develop teams; teams that will be responsible for solving some of the biggest problems of our world today. I think that the teams we make fundamentally determine the things we can create, so building a more transparent working world is about empowering people to build great things."

Prior to joining the team, Henry started a Presidential Campaign for Senator Mike Gravel, led a remote staff of 100 people and built a network netting $300k in small donations from 70,000 people. Read more about the campaign in this New York Times profile. Henry has since founded a progressive non-profit called The Gravel Institute, who's Board he sits on. In that role Henry managed an online following of 250,000+, fundraised and created a series of videos promoting progressive ideas.

Before that, Henry did peer-reviewed research in computational biology, led an applied math team that placed #1 in the United States and top 5 in the world and a robotics team that took the top spot at US Nationals, and was selected as a Columbia Data Science Institute Scholar to study ed-tech. He was also a software engineer at AppNexus and Birchbox.

"Henry embodies the idea that to upend the status quo and lead movements, one must fundamentally challenge existing concepts and existing beliefs. We couldn't be more excited to welcome his hustle and ingenuity to the growth team," Dylan Enright said.

In his free time Henry likes to read as widely as possible from old-school blogs on VC, tech, finance, monetary policy, macroeconomics, geopolitics, and China. He is currently a student on hiatus at Columbia University, studying computer science and math with a minor in philosophy.
