Lukas Bacevicius Joins The Org as a Frontend Developer

The Org has hired Lukas Bacevicius to serve as its new Frontend Developer. He will work from The Org’s office in Copenhagen, Denmark, and report directly to CTO & Co-Founder Andreas Jarbøl.

Lukas’ role is to collaborate with The Org’s product designers, product manager, and other engineering team members to deliver compelling user-facing features and products. On a daily basis, he will implement and maintain features and UIs of The Org’s platform and products. Lukas will also architect efficient and reusable front-end design systems that ensure the user-facing part of the platform is scalable and performant.

Lukas was excited by the prospect of working at The Org and said he “immediately understood the platform and saw a huge potential in the idea.” He added, “I think the team behind The Org was amazing and I was so impressed what they managed to achieve in such a short time. I instantly wanted to be part of this journey and help the team take The Org even further.”

Before assuming his duties at The Org, Lukas spent 3 years as a consultant at global digital agency Valtech. There he has worked for Easyjet, building and distributing a design system for the airline’s booking platform, and as a full-stack developer at SUPERB, where he helped build a booking platform used in 100+ cities worldwide.

Originally from Lithuania, Lukas keeps himself busy raising his 1-year-old daughter and running a small personalized poster store in Denmark. He is also in the process of starting to teach refugees, asylum seekers, and members of other disadvantaged groups frontend development skills on weekends.
