As Head of People and Culture, Maria will lead initiatives related to recruiting, HR policies, office management, and the employee experience from onboarding to motivation and growth.
When speaking about what drew her to the opportunity, Maria said she was attracted by the possibility to get to work with people, which is something that gives her energy. “I will be paid to do the things I cannot help but doing and the measure of success is aligned with my personal goal: to create an environment for the highest performing teams.” She went on to say that “The Org is filled with great people whom I will learn from and create with. And the product is transparency, who wouldn’t love to work for a company that sets out to celebrate teams through transparency!”
Before leading The Org’s People and Culture team, Maria worked as a tech consultant for EY, where she helped automate operational processes for some of the world’s largest companies. It was while she was working with emerging technologies at EY that Maria learned the importance of emotional intelligence to ensure collaboration, remove obstacles, mitigate resistance to change, and provide technical talent the best conditions for success.
Outside of work, the native of Denmark enjoys baking bread and cooking. She also is eager for family time, whether it's snuggling with her daughter, dog, and husband or hanging out at the playground.
