At CoInspect, we’re building climate-focused technology solutions that capture efficiency, performance, and user-friendly designs. We’re seeking a California-based front-end leaning full stack developer to set the overall technical direction for CoInspect as we scale to support millions of users, translate designs into crisp code, and build thoughtful experiences centered around our customers.

Our ideal candidate is quick on their feet, possesses strong technical skills, and isn’t afraid to ask questions. An understanding of not just how to code but why certain code works is a must.

OBJECTIVES

  • Lead and mentor our 10+ developer team
  • Create design and user-focused experiences
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements
  • Develop standard and scalable code that can serve as the foundation of future projects
  • Perform tasks accurately and up to our quality standard

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead our JavaScript engineering team while collaborating closely with our Mobile development team (iOS and Android)
  • Work closely with our overseas team, operating in a 12-8pm PST work schedule as needed
  • Develop and maintain our core application and public APIs for utilization by millions of daily users
  • Develop integrations between CoInspect and 3rd party hardware and software vendors
  • Collaborate with our CTO, VP of Product, designer and back-end engineers to complete projects
  • Optimize apps to improve performance and efficiency
  • Author technical documentation

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience building and maintaining full-stack applications
  • 2+ years of experience leading in an engineering management position
  • Expert knowledge of Node.js, Angular.js, and PostgreSQL
  • Fluency in Javascript, HTML, and CSS
  • Familiarity with AWS and container-based infrastructures (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience building publicly-consumable APIs and platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Based in California
  • UX training, knowledge of PHP a plus
