David Johnston

David Johnston is the Senior Vice President and President of Clinical Research at Thermo Fisher Scientific. David has over 20 years of experience in the clinical research industry. Prior to joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, David was the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Clinical Trials at LabCorp. David also served as the Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Clinical Trials at LabCorp from 1997 to 2009. Prior to joining LabCorp, David worked at PPD, Locus Biosciences, Inc. and the Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO).

David Johnston has a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. David also has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
