Sucheta Ghosh

Sucheta Ghosh is a Scientist I specializing in Protein Biology at Thermo Fisher Scientific since September 2025. Previously, Sucheta served as a Doctoral Student at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research from October 2020 to August 2025, where pioneering research was conducted on cellular stress response pathways, particularly the aggresome processing pathway (APP), and novel cell lines were generated using CRISPR/Cas9 and lentiviral transduction. Earlier experiences include being a Khorana Program Scholar at Johns Hopkins Medicine in 2018, a Summer Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 2016, and an Indian Academy of Science (IAS) Summer Research Fellow at AIIMS, New Delhi, in 2015. Sucheta holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Basel, a Master of Technology in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi, and a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from the Heritage Institute of Technology. Educational history includes foundational schooling at Loyola School Jamshedpur and Sacred Heart Convent School, Jamshedpur.
