Wayne Chiang

Chief Architect & Co-Founder at ThreatQuotient

Wayne Chiang is the current Chief Architect and Co-Founder at ThreatQuotient. Prior to this, they were a Security Engineer at General Dynamics Information Technology from January 2010 to March 2013. There, they worked in the Security Operations Center. From August 2015 to May 2019, they were an Advisory Board Member at the Apex Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech. Wayne was also a Security Administrator at Comprehensive Health Services from January 2009 to December 2010. Wayne Chiang has also conducting information security research within the University’s Office of IT Security Lab and served as development lead, implementing within a MS Compact/Embedded .NET C# environment, ARM chipset based handheld devices, and Li-ion batteries. Wayne also developed a statistical anomaly Intrusion Detection System to understand attack vectors unique to a wireless device infrastructure. In 2006, they published a paper in the IEEE Information Assurance entitled Battery-Sensing Intrusion Protection System. Lastly, they were an IT Specialist at IBM Global Business Services from January 2006 to December 2009.

Wayne Chiang completed a Master of Science in Information Technology at Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Virginia Tech.

They are on a team with Yann Le Borgne - Technical VP, International, Gigi Schumm - SVP, World Wide Sales, and Matt McCormick - SVP, Corporate & Business Development. Their manager is John Czupak, President & CEO.
