Miranda Lesperance

Vice President, Indigenous Collaboration, Equity, And Inclusion

Miranda Lesperance is an accomplished professional currently serving as Vice President of Indigenous Collaboration, Equity, and Inclusion at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre since December 2022. In addition, Lesperance is a Research Fellow at Bruyere Research Institute, contributing as a co-investigator on the Indigenous arm of the STROBE-Equity health research study. Lesperance holds a position as a University Lecturer at Lakehead University and has extensive experience in public health, having worked as a Program Consultant with the Public Health Agency of Canada for 15 years. Previous roles include Research Intern at the First Nations Information Governance Centre, Research Coordinator at Well Living House, and Environmental Officer at Indian and Northern Affairs Canada. Lesperance has earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health Education and Promotion from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Health from Lakehead University, along with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Lakehead University.
