Dilantha De Silva

Dilantha De Silva has a diverse work experience in the investment research and financial industry. In 2014, they worked as a Customer Services Executive at Firstsource Dialog Solutions, where they focused on addressing customer concerns and providing excellent service. Dilantha then transitioned to a role as an Investment Advisor at Bartleet Religare Securities from 2015 to 2016, where they developed financial strategies and sold various financial products. From 2017 to 2018, De Silva worked as a Senior Fund Administrator at Holborn Assets LLC, ensuring efficient trade settlement and liaising with global product providers.

In 2018, De Silva began writing for Seeking Alpha as a Contributor, focusing on U.S. investment research and building a large follower base. Dilantha also worked as an Investment Research Analyst at OBOR INVEST from 2018 to 2019, responsible for identifying investment products across different asset classes.

In 2019, De Silva took on multiple freelance roles. Dilantha became a Freelance Content Writer for Refinitiv, creating investment-related content based on guidelines from senior editors. Dilantha De Silva's education history begins in 2014 when they enrolled in The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) and obtained a Certificate in Corporate Finance, which focused on banking, corporate finance, and securities law. During the same period, they also attained an International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management (ICWIM), specializing in investments and securities. In 2017, Dilantha pursued further education and achieved CFA level 1 from the CFA Institute. Dilantha then proceeded to CFA level II, provided by the same institution, and successfully obtained it in December 2020. Additionally, Dilantha secured a certification as a Registered Investment Advisor from the Securities and Exchange Commission in Sri Lanka in January 2016. Currently, they are studying for the Chartered Wealth Manager degree in investments and securities at The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
