Zhiyu Han

Professor, School Of Automotive Studies at TONGJI UNIVERSITY

Zhiyu Han is a distinguished Professor at Tongji University’s School of Automotive Studies since March 2018, specializing in automotive hybrid powertrain research, energy flow optimization, hybrid dedicated engines, hydrogen combustion, combustion modeling, and vehicle life-cycle carbon emissions. In addition, Zhiyu serves as Chairman of Smapow Engine Company, which focuses on high-performance natural gas engines for various applications. Zhiyu's previous positions include a professorship at Hunan University, chairman and CTO of Zhejiang Greenfield Motor Company, and executive roles at Changfeng Group Company Ltd and Great Wall Motor Company. Early career experiences include positions at Ford Motor Company, Navistar Inc, and as a research associate at the Engine Research Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Zhiyu Han holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and both a BS and MS in Internal Combustion Engine from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
