Tara Young

Tara Young is an Operations Associate. In this role, she works with the SMA Operations team and takes ownership of tasks that assist in reconciliation of accounts. Prior to TortoiseEcofin, Tara was an accounting and processing team lead with a freight brokerage. She also held a role within the accounting department at Walz Tetrick where she worked with clients and vendors to ensure accurate billing and strong positive relationships.

Tara is actively involved in running a charity group that does pirate history and reenactment at various renaissance festivals. She also participates in quarterly charity events to raise funds or donations for Ronald McDonald House and Baby Jay's Legacy of Hope. In 2021, Tara held a seat on the Board of Directors of the Kansas City Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) where she structured the registration process for autocross events and helped build the regions membership. Tara is married and has four dogs at home.
