Maria del Carmen Ovando Melgar

Maria del Carmen Ovando Melgar has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Project Director for Green Hydrogen at TotalEnergies since October 2010, focusing on the development of Green Hydrogen projects. Previously, Maria held various leadership roles including Head of General Affairs & Branch Compliance Officer at OneTech, VP of General Affairs of Development & Support to Operations, and Joint Venture Director at Total E&P Mexico. Maria has a strong background in economic studies, having worked as a Senior Economist in the New Ventures division, with key responsibilities in commercial management and negotiations for international joint ventures while also coordinating significant business initiatives in Bolivia. Prior to these roles, Maria served as Corporate Planner at Yemen LNG Company and Asset Manager at Total, where responsibilities included overseeing transportation and regasification assets across South America and Mexico.
