Melanie Fortin

Melanie Fortin is an accomplished professional with over 23 years of experience in records management, procurement, and legal support. Currently serving as the Manager of Records & Information Management at Transamerica since February 2010, Melanie leads the RIM program and aligns it with organizational strategic goals. Previous roles at Transamerica include Sr. Procurement and Vendor Management Analyst, where a contingent workforce strategy was established, and Intermediate Sourcing Specialist, overseeing various strategic sourcing initiatives. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Sr. Paralegal at Transamerica, where Melanie enhanced contract management systems, and positions at GreatAmerica Leasing and McLeod USA focusing on contract negotiations and record maintenance. Melanie holds a Master of Business Administration from Mount Mercy University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management, along with an Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies from Kirkwood Community College.
