Head of Rail Delivery at Transport for NSW

Peter Church is the current Head of Rail Delivery at Transport for NSW. Peter has held this position since August 2012. Prior to that, they were the Principal Rail Engineer at Parsons Brinckerhoff from January 2011 to August 2012. Before that, they were the Programme Manager - National Track Renewals at Network Rail from January 2003 to January 2011.

Church began their career in rail in 1991 when they joined CEDG. Peter then moved to Railtrack LNE Zone in 1997, where they worked as an Assistant PM until 2000. From there, they went to Railtrack, where they worked as a Design Project Manager - Track Alliance from 2000 to 2003. In 2003, they joined Network Rail as a Programme Manager - National Track Renewals, a position they held until 2011. Peter then joined Parsons Brinckerhoff as a Principal Rail Engineer, before moving to their current role at Transport for NSW in 2012.

Peter Church has a post-graduate award in business leadership from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School. Peter also has a PhD in civil engineering - surveying & photogrammetry from the University of Leeds. Additionally, they have a BEng (Hons) in civil engineering from the University of Leeds. Finally, they attended PGS.
