Charisse Smith Ph.D. currently serves as the Curriculum Supervisor for Social Studies K-6 with the Trenton Board of Education and holds the position of Principal Educational Consultant and Owner at Sankofa Educational Consulting LLC. With a robust background in education, Charisse has also contributed as a Board Trustee for both Notre Dame High School and New Jersey Advocates for Aging Well. Previously, Charisse was the President of Excellence Through Education and served as an instructional coach at Hamilton Township Public Schools. Charisse's experience encompasses management, professional development, diversity and inclusion advocacy, and instructional leadership, complemented by an extensive educational background including a Ph.D. in Education-Professional Studies from Capella University.
