Thomas founded Trim in 2015 to make a tangible difference in Americans’ financial health. Personal finance is clearly broken for ordinary Americans -- and incumbents aren’t going to fix it. Thomas started Trim to re-write the playbook on financial health, emphasizing action rather than advice. Previously, Thomas was a venture capital investor at Core Innovation Capital, investing in fintech start-ups like Oportun, NerdWallet, and Ripple Labs. Thomas also spent time selling solar-powered appliances to rural households in Zambia.
