Ryan Swieringa

Ryan Swieringa currently serves as the Director of Spiritual Care at Trinity Health since May 2020. Prior to this role, Ryan was the Market Manager of Spiritual Care for the Ascension Detroit Metro area, overseeing the spiritual care department for six hospitals from May 2019 to May 2020. Ryan's previous experience includes positions such as Manager of Spiritual Care at St Joseph Mercy Health System, Staff Chaplain at the University of Michigan, and Chaplain at both Borgess Health and Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. Ryan contributed to the field as a member of the Commission on Certification for the Association of Professional Chaplains from 2010 to 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary and a Bachelor's degree in Religion and Psychology from Calvin University.
