Tim Thomas

Senior Vice President, Manufacturing & Operational Excellence at Trinseo

Tim Thomas was named Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Operational Excellence in October of 2019. In this role, Thomas will be responsible for setting the global operating manufacturing strategy for Trinseo, including driving operational excellence to deliver year over year improvements in cost and productivity. He is also responsible for the implementation of the Global Manufacturing & Engineering strategies related to Quality, Engineering Projects, Process Automation, Process Safety, Maintenance & Reliability, and the Global manufacturing technology strategies as it pertains to the Business Units and Company. Thomas reports to Frank Bozich, President and CEO of Trinseo, and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Since 2014, Thomas served as Operations Director of Trinseo’s Performance Materials and moved his family in 2015 to Horgen Switzerland. He joined Trinseo (formerly known as Styron) in 2010 serving as Business Manufacturing Leaders for its Latex Binders business segment.

Thomas began his career with The Dow Chemical Company in 1989 as pilot plant engineer in Research & Development and then went on to hold numerous roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing at its Midland, Michigan operations. In 2006, Thomas relocated to Dow’s site in Dalton, Georgia where he provided leadership for the site, which included Latex & Styrofoam plants. In 2009, he served as Business Manufacturing leader for Latex Binders at Dow.
