Scott Peterson

Scott Peterson is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in healthcare IT and system management. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer at TriWest Healthcare Alliance since October 2025, Scott previously held various senior roles at Medica from September 2017 to October 2025, including VP & Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Software Engineering. Prior to Medica, Scott was Vice President at Avalere and served as Chief Information Officer for the State of Minnesota, where responsibilities included overseeing Medicaid Management Information Systems with claims exceeding $7 billion annually. With a solid foundation in system architecture, operational management, and technical leadership, Scott also has a military background as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Education includes a Bachelor's degree from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and an AA from Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
